Henry Repeating Arms Donates 50 Custom Rifles to Aid Wildland Firefighter’s Leukemia Battle

Listen to Article

Henry Repeating Arms is donating a limited-edition series of 50 ‘Joel’s Wildfire’ Golden Boy Silver rifles through its Guns For Great Causes program to support wildland firefighter Joel Eisiminger, who was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) one day before his 25th birthday. Eisiminger, from Southern Oregon, spent six seasons fighting wildfires across the American West and fell ill during a deployment in Northern California in July 2024. His story, featured in The New York Times, highlighted inadequate protections for wildland firefighters, prompting the introduction of the Healthy Lungs for Heroes Act (S.3183) in November 2025.

Each rifle features a custom-engraved American walnut buttstock showing wildfire firefighters walking toward flames under a ‘Joel’s Wildfire’ banner, a polished blued steel octagon barrel, nickel-plated components, adjustable sights, and serial numbers WILDFIRE01 through WILDFIRE50. Priced at $785 each, with the first and last rifles available via online auction, sales are expected to raise over $40,000 for Eisiminger’s medical expenses and care.
