DESIGN AND MANUFACTURING

THE OPPORTUNITY: SENIOR MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER
Princeton Tec seeks an experienced mechanical engineer ready to lead product development in a company where innovation directly impacts lives. This role offers unique technical leadership—driving multiple breakthrough products from concept through production while mentoring the next generation of engineers.
You’ll join a small, agile product development team wearing many hats and making immediate impact.
Working directly with the Engineering Manager, you’ll shape products that define the next era of tactical, industrial, outdoor, and dive lighting. This isn’t theoretical engineering—it’s hands-on innovation where your designs become reality just steps from your desk.
WHAT YOU BRING:
• BS Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred).
• Proven years of experience in product design with preference for consumer or military products.
• Mastery of SolidWorks, FEA, and DFM/DFA principles.
• Deep knowledge of injection molding and rapid prototyping processed.
• Track record of taking products from concept to market.
• Good communication, organization skills are a must.
• Natural leadership and mentoring abilities.
• Passion for products that matter.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will bring our concepts to life by designing with manufacturability and moldability in mind.
• Actively participate in new product development discussion and execution from conceptualization to release for manufacturing.
• Lead mechanical design initiatives with DFM/DFA excellence.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration from concept to production.
• Mentor junior engineers while advancing technical standards.
• Transform user needs into innovative, manufacturable solutions.
• Manage multiple products through full development lifecycle.
• Ensure designs meet the highest standards of reliability and performance.
• Create and manage detailed engineering documentation, including BOMs, drawings, testing plans, and specifications.
• Identify opportunities to innovate product performance, reduce cost, and streamline engineering workflows.
