New York Pushes to Criminalize Sharing 3D-Printed Gun Files Online

Oh, New York, you never cease to amaze me with your creative ways to infringe on our Second Amendment rights! The latest brainchild from State Senator Brad Hoylman-Sigal and Assemblymember Linda Rosenthal, with a shiny endorsement from Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg, is a bill (S227A/A1777A) that aims to make sharing digital blueprints for 3D-printed guns and auto sears a Class A misdemeanor. Because, you know, nothing says “we care about your safety” like criminalizing the online distribution of files. But hey, at least they’re keeping up with the times by updating the language. Bravo, New York, bravo.
