Well, folks, it looks like Illinois is still the odd one out when it comes to suppressor laws. A federal judge just threw a wrench in the works by ruling that silencers don’t count as “arms” under the Second Amendment. So, if you were hoping to go all James Bond in the Land of Lincoln, you’re out of luck for now. The suppressor ban remains firmly in place, leaving Illinois as the lone wolf in the complete ban club.
