Foxtrot Mike Products has introduced the VFM-9, a new line of 9mm upper receivers designed for pistol caliber carbines (PCCs). The VFM-9 uses a thermal fit barrel system instead of a complex barrel nut, reducing manufacturing costs while featuring a 4140 steel barrel with a service life exceeding 10,000 rounds. Replacement barrels are available for $99. The upper includes a bolt compatible with the company’s Last Round Bolt Hold Open (LRBHO) in standard or short stroke configurations, a 5.2-inch barrel with 1/2-28 threading, and simplified assembly with only two handguard screws.

Available in two versions—one with an all-metal non-reciprocating forward charging handle and another with a dual front-and-rear charging system—the VFM-9 offers proprietary parts like the bolt and muzzle device but is backed by a lifetime warranty. It targets value-conscious consumers seeking reliable performance without premium pricing, positioned alongside the company’s flagship MIKE-9 line.
