Magnum Research has introduced the first factory-threaded-barrel Desert Eagle, offered exclusively in black. The 6-inch barrel carries the standard .50 Beowulf 49/64×20 thread pattern and ships with a dedicated piston to ensure reliable cycling when a suppressor is mounted. The pistol retains the familiar gas-operated, rotating-bolt action, weighs 4 lb unloaded and carries an estimated MSRP near $2,000.
Pros
- Factory threading eliminates the need to cut and thread aftermarket barrels.
- Included piston optimizes function with suppressors.
- Standard .50 AE chambering and 49/64×20 thread pitch maintain compatibility with existing .50 Beowulf cans.
Cons
- Only available in black; chrome finishes are not offered on the threaded model.
- MSRP remains high, around $2,000.
