A unit of Everytown for Gun Safety called The Smoking Gun released a report Wednesday on firearms makers backing YouTube gun personalities. It covers several popular channels and gives the most space to Brandon Herrera, who is expected to win Texas 23rd Congressional District.

The authors alleged Herrera used his channel to promote extremist imagery and movements and to justify violence against the government. President Trump posted an endorsement calling Herrera an America First patriot backed by Texas MAGA supporters and House Republicans, and saying he would pursue economic growth, lower taxes and rules, domestic manufacturing, energy production, election security, school choice, a secure border, support for the military and police, and Second Amendment protections.
