Nine airmen from mixed Air Force units evaluated CAA’s MCK EVO chassis, labeled Isolated Personnel Lethality Optimization, during limited trials in Hawaii at Pearl Harbor-Hickam. The compact kit mounts standard M18 pistols for rifle-like handling in aircrew survival gear and, under stress, raised accuracy as much as 50 percent plus speed 60 percent after little training. A 129th Rescue Wing-led effort with ARCWERX reached operational trials in under 160 days as a lighter off-the-shelf option versus the GAU-5/A.
