Five centuries ago, a payment of 296 ducats reached Bartolomeo Beretta, and the paperwork has never looked better. On October 3rd, 1526, that transaction became the first documented entry in the history of the world’s oldest industrial dynasty, and Beretta has now turned it into a pistol.
