On Oct. 28 the Ohio Wildlife Council approved 2027 spring turkey seasons featuring separate youth dates in an 83-county south zone and a northeast zone covering Ashtabula, Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake and Trumbull counties, plus bass changes effective March 1 2027. Youth hunts last from 30 minutes before sunrise to sunset while the first nine days of each season close at noon then run until sunset, and most waters will follow a statewide five-bass daily limit and 12-inch minimum after surveys found earlier site-specific harvest regulations already met management goals.
