Youth hunters ages 12 to 17 who hold hunter safety certification may still sign up for a pheasant hunt this Saturday. Pairs will go afield with mentors plus a dog and handler after pheasants are placed for each pair. Hunters must bring a base license, a firearm and ammunition, orange garments, eye and ear protection, and a cooler.
Lunch is provided for participants, and a shotgun will be awarded in a drawing. Spectators may attend at no charge, with corn hole, a BB gun trailer, trap shooting, hunting dog demonstrations, and food available for families.
