The Gulf Council will convene its Ecosystem Technical Committee on December 3, 2026, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Eastern time at its Tampa, Florida office.

Members plan to examine findings from a contractor project that identified fishery ecosystem issues raised by stakeholders. They will also receive a briefing on red tide plus the latest Gulf Ecosystem Status Report.

The Gulf Council is among eight regional bodies created under the 1976 Fishery Conservation and Management Act. It develops plans for managing fish stocks inside the 200-mile zone of the Gulf of America.
