The U.S. Army has chosen General Dynamics Mission Systems to create and show a system of networked munitions that can be placed without human operators on site. The effort, overseen by Project Manager Close Combat Systems, seeks to bring back the Army’s means of blocking or slowing opposing forces. General Dynamics Mission Systems, part of General Dynamics and located in Fort Wayne, Indiana, will handle the work.
