G-TEAD USAREUR-AF ACE 27-02: Spectrum Enabled Warfare Powered by xTech | Soldier Systems Daily

Listen to Article

The Army is asking eligible U.S. small firms for new electromagnetic-spectrum tools through a Europe-and-Africa accelerated contest run with its FUZE office. Entrants can meet defense officials, win cash, and later file a Phase II research bid capped at two million dollars for twelve to eighteen months. Only contest finalists may submit after proving technical feasibility plus military or commercial uses. Chosen prototypes must be simple for troops to run, will go to units for field trials with rapid feedback, and companies will draft plans to field the gear and sell it commercially. The work aims at spectrum control on NATO’s eastern edge so forces can detect, exploit, strike, and shield networks in jammed radio and cyber settings with modular, soldier-maintainable equipment.
