Fish Monkey and Hunt Monkey in Destin, Florida, now check every waterproof glove with custom air-pressure machines so each pair is confirmed watertight before it ships.

President Tim Mossberg said earlier random water-fill sampling found leaks in fewer than 2 percent of gloves, often from sewing damage to the inner barrier. Those sample gloves had to be discarded because they could not be dried fully for packaging.

The pneumatic process leaves gloves intact, so the companies can inspect the entire run. Mossberg founded the fishing line and added Hunt Monkey in 2021; both brands say the same quality standard covers their gloves, mittens, and related gear.
