CWD Detected in a New Wyoming Hunt Area

▶
Listen to Article

Wyoming Game and Fish Department confirmed chronic wasting disease in an adult mule deer buck, the first case in Jackson Region Deer Hunt Area 156. That area borders already positive deer hunt areas 128, 148 and 155 and Grand Teton National Park, and officials announce every new hunt-area finding. The disease is always fatal to deer, elk and moose, so hunters may submit free samples especially in priority testing zones while a map sits on the agency CWD webpage and sick animals should be reported to the nearest office.
