Catalyst Arms has begun selling the Apex Bag Rider 2.0, a rear stock add-on built for first through third generation Ruger Precision Rifles in short and magnum actions. The piece is broader than the rifle’s stock Picatinny rail, giving a firmer rest on a bag, pack, or the support hand so the gun holds still through the shot. Its rear face is shaped so a shooter can lift or drop the butt by moving the rear bag toward or away from the muzzle, letting the stock sit fully on the bag instead of depending on uneven hand pressure.

The design is intended to steady the firing position and to make height changes quicker. The company and its dealers offer it at a suggested retail price of $44.95.
