Federal is expanding production of ammunition for 7mm PRC and 300 PRC as hunting seasons begin, when some shooters have had trouble finding rounds at shops. New options include the 195 grain Berger Elite Hunter in 7mm PRC and the 212 grain ELD-X in 300 PRC.

The Berger Elite Hunter bullet has a thin jacket designed to cause strong shock and a large cavity upon hitting game, supporting accurate fire at long distances.

The ELD-X bullet expands across a range of speeds thanks to a polymer tip that keeps its shape in flight, along with a copper jacket and strong rear section. Federal loads both with its Premium cases and primers in 20-round boxes.
