The Assistant Secretary of the Army, the service’s senior official for safety and occupational health, announced in Washington that about 97 percent of Soldiers have completed screening with the Neurocognitive Assessment Tool. Medical staff use the results to manage harm from intense blast waves and milder blast contacts.
The secretary presented the completion rate as underscoring an Army emphasis on protecting thinking skills, keeping troops medically fit, and sustaining combat performance.
