A Maine plant belonging to American Rheinmetall is set to create and improve thousands of MK93 enhanced softmounts. This activity stems from a recent order that meets U.S. Army needs with involvement from ADS Inc and the Defense Logistics Agency.

The first shipments occur in 2026, with the effort wrapping up by October 2027. Among the work is the making of 3,104 fresh MK93 enhanced softmounts.
