Montana fisheries officials have about $400,000 for a winter round of grants aimed at restoring rivers, streams and lakes that help wild fish. Applications are due by 11:59 p.m. November 15 and may cover work on private or public land if a public fishery gains, with an independent panel reviewing proposals before the fish and wildlife commission decides funding. Details and forms come from the program site, FWPFFIP@mt.gov or 406-565-6995, and completed files go electronically to that email or by mail to the habitat bureau in Helena.
