Listen to Article

Streamlight has released upgraded versions of its Trident and Septor headlamps, featuring modernized designs, improved performance, and the same rugged construction. Both models are powered by three AAA alkaline batteries and include a low-profile polycarbonate body with elastomer over-mold, a 90-degree tilting head, IPX7 waterproof rating, 2-meter impact resistance, and hazardous location safety certifications.

The Trident combines a single white spot LED with three white flood LEDs, offering 200 lumens in spot mode (6.5-hour runtime), 40 lumens with three flood LEDs (14-hour runtime), and 15 lumens with one flood LED (28-hour runtime). The Septor provides wide-area flood lighting with three output levels: 200 lumens high (5-hour runtime), 80 lumens medium (27-hour runtime), and 25 lumens low (55-hour runtime). Both headlamps weigh approximately 4.4 ounces with batteries, are available in yellow, and include elastic and hard-hat straps. MSRP is $52.76 for the Trident and $67.39 for the Septor.
