St. Croix Rods is aiming to raise $50,000 for Casting for Recovery during National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. They are teaming up with Casting for Recovery to help provide healing through the outdoors at no cost to the participants. So that each woman going through or having survived breast cancer finds inspiration, discovers a renewed energy for life, and experiences healing connections with other women and the great outdoors. Casting for Recovery is a not-for-profit 501 (c)(3) organization that, over the past 30 years, has helped bring emotional and physical healing to over 13,000 women through 1,100 oncology-informed outdoor retreats. Casting for Recovery relies on over 1,800 volunteers and donations from individuals, foundations, companies, and other organizations, such as St. Croix Rods.
