Black “leaders” have targeted ignorant people and are exploiting that with the redistricting lie

In the latest chapter of racial grievance theater, self-appointed Black “leaders” are once again peddling the redistricting lie to audiences they clearly view as politically unsophisticated. The narrative claims that recent Supreme Court decisions on voting maps somehow represent a fresh assault on minority voting power, when in reality the Court has simply insisted that race cannot be the predominant factor in drawing legislative districts. This isn’t complicated constitutional law; it’s the straightforward application of the Equal Protection Clause. Yet instead of educating their communities about how fair redistricting actually works, these activists prefer to stoke paranoia and harvest votes through manufactured outrage. The short clip promoting the full video lays bare the tactic: keep the base angry, keep them dependent, and never let facts about neutral map-drawing get in the way of a good racial narrative.

What makes this relevant to the Second Amendment community is the larger pattern it reveals about power maintenance. The same political machines that exploit ignorance on redistricting are the ones aggressively pushing gun control in urban centers with high Black populations. They gerrymander districts to protect incumbent Democrats who then vote to disarm the very people they claim to champion. Law-abiding Black gun owners in Chicago, Baltimore, and Philadelphia understand the contradiction all too well: their neighborhoods suffer the highest violent crime rates while their so-called leaders focus on restricting the constitutional rights that could help citizens defend themselves. When “leaders” lie about something as mechanical as redistricting, it becomes easier to understand why they also lie about shall-issue permitting, constitutional carry, and the racist origins of gun control itself.

The implications should alarm every defender of the Bill of Rights. An electorate kept deliberately ignorant on one foundational issue can be manipulated on all of them. If communities are taught that colorblind map drawing equals Jim Crow 2.0, they will more readily accept that the Second Amendment is somehow a white supremacist relic rather than the ultimate guarantor of individual liberty. The full video this short promotes dismantles that con game with precision. For the 2A community, the lesson is clear: robust civil rights include both the right to fair electoral maps that don’t use race as a weapon and the right to keep and bear arms without apology. Anything less is simply another form of disenfranchisement dressed up as progress.
