PENN has launched the Battalion III series of saltwater fishing rods as an expansion of its Battalion line. The rods use application-specific blanks and components covering inshore light tackle through deep-water swordfish work. Lighter models feature cork and EVA grips while heavier ones use rubberized handles, with some including gimbals or bent butts. The lineup now includes boat, jigging, and electric models developed with input from professional testers. Dealers currently sell the rods at prices from 129.95 to 399.95 dollars.
