The Kansas Department of Health and Environment and the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks have issued public health advisories covering more than 20 water bodies across the state due to blue-green algae, with the two agencies flagging eight lakes under Warning status and thirteen under Watch as of the latest update, according to KDHE.
