Smith & Wesson Brands has joined World Whiskey Society to issue the Smith & Wesson 7-Year Classic Edition, the opening whiskey in a new line drawn from the firearm maker’s past.
The seven-year straight bourbon shows graham-cracker and vanilla scents, a sweet-cream taste with mild oak spice, and a baking-spice finish with seasoned oak. Its bottle design copies an old firearm certificate, with portraits and signatures of founders Horace Smith and Daniel Baird Wesson set against a gunsmith shop plus floral engraving motifs, marking the 1852 founding and the seven-shot Model No. 1 revolver.
Brand-marketing director Vince Perreault and World Whiskey Society founder Alex Kogan both framed the bottle as a joint nod to American manufacturing skill and bourbon quality aimed at collectors and drinkers.
