The spots criticize the Republicans as lenient on gun crime and aligned with the gun industry, with one citing Rogers receiving over one hundred thousand dollars from gun groups after a Michigan mass shooting, another featuring a retired officer faulting Kiggans for opposing tougher gun laws, and a third saying Kean endangers police. Rob Romano of the Firearms Policy Coalition asked why Giffords would not give Rogers two hundred thousand dollars to switch sides and save money.
