Giffords executive director Emma Brown told The Trace that the group’s 2026 midterm plan will pair a public-safety critique with charges that sitting House Republicans put firearms-industry interests first. The Trace, funded by Everytown, reported that gun-control groups spent more than thirteen times as much as gun-rights groups in the 2026 cycle.
