When the economic floor drops, the cultural arguments against gun ownership gain traction; cities with the highest foreign-born populations often post the strictest local gun-control measures, turning demographic change into policy change. The 2A community therefore has skin in the immigration debate not out of xenophobia but out of recognition that a stable, property-owning citizenry is the best long-term defense of the Second Amendment.
