A witness inside a Chase bank in Cedar Hill shot a person who walked in with a knife and demanded money from employees shortly after 9 a.m. Cedar Hill police said the branch is off Highway 67.

The wounded suspect ran from the building. Officers later found the person, began life-saving care, and took the suspect to a hospital, where death was pronounced. The shooter is cooperating with police.
