Kostas Moros of the Second Amendment Foundation posted school-protection ideas on X after the shooting at Silver Rail Elementary in Bend, Oregon. Oregon has already added firearms statutes, including local power to ban guns on school property and a required-storage law. Moros called for ending rules that bar licensed carriers from school grounds, letting permitted teachers and staff carry if they choose, installing doors that resist gunfire, placing two armed officers at each school, and using response drones such as Mithril Defense Campus Guardian Angel, already at campuses in Florida, Georgia and Colorado, which can strike a threat at 50 miles per hour and release pepper gel, strobes and sirens. He presented those steps as ways to protect children while keeping the Second Amendment.
