Police in Porterville, California, were called late Friday to a party involving a firearm near California State University Northridge. Officers arriving around 11 p.m. heard shots and found at least two people fatally shot and one person stabbed.

The gathering appeared to be at a strip mall, where many people stood handcuffed on the sidewalk.
