Giffords and Everytown have each committed $10 million from their political arms for advertising in a short list of 2026 congressional races, the only gun-policy groups so far to report major independent expenditures in Federal Election Commission records compiled by The Reload. By October 7 Giffords had disclosed about $6 million, aimed mainly at House Republicans in competitive districts plus more than $1 million against Mike Rogers in Michigan’s Senate race, with $375,000 to $925,000 buys against Jen Kiggans, Bob Bresnahan, Anna Paulina Luna, David Valadao, Tom Kean and Bill Huizenga and support for Christina Hines in Michigan’s open 10th District.
Everytown has filed none of its planned outlays yet but intends to aid Hines, Paige Cognetti against Bresnahan, Christina Bohannan against Mariannette Miller-Meeks, Kristen McDonald Rivet, JoAnna Mendoza against Juan Ciscomani, Sarah Trone Garriott against Zach Nunn, Pia Dandiya and Lindsay James. The NRA Political Victory Fund has reported only small independent expenditures this cycle, after more than $10 million in 2023-24.
