Martin told Reuters that President Donald Trump encouraged the project in their last Oval Office meeting and wanted the administration credited for expanding gun access. A Trump ally, Martin said the organization will circulate written and video accounts from people trying to regain firearms and aims to turn out single-issue gun voters in competitive House districts so Republicans keep their majority this year and build toward 2028. The White House did not immediately comment.
