Federal prosecutors in Georgia’s northern district announced Tuesday that they had charged 20 Atlanta residents after recovering nearly 1,500 stolen firearms. Five of the defendants allegedly belonged to the Goodfellas street gang.

Authorities tied 724 Glock pistols to thefts on November 29 and 30, 2025, 469 additional firearms to a January 10, 2026 theft, and 293 more to a January 16, 2026 theft.
