Florida Governor Ron DeSantis said the state’s Second Amendment sales tax holiday will return for a second year, pausing sales tax on qualifying firearms, ammunition, and hunting, fishing, and camping goods from September 1 through December 31, 2026. He also broke ground on the Florida Archery Center at Tenoroc in Lakeland.

Officials widened the 2026 holiday after last year’s version. Eligible price limits for fishing bait and tackle rose to $10 for a single item and $20 for items sold together. A separate exemption now covers firearm accessories such as magazines, range bags, barrels, triggers, slings, bipods, and suppressors.
