Democratic Representative Debbie Dingell of Michigan appeared Friday on MS NOW program The Last Word and objected to President Donald Trump’s tariffs on Canada.
She has remained in her district more than a month and hears from residents at farmers markets, weekend grocery stops, and filling stations about money troubles. Constituents describe a parent unable to cover a child’s breathing medicine, workers holding extra jobs, and people who cannot pay for fuel to reach work, underscoring hardship for laborers.
Dingell added that Canada is a neighboring partner whose economic and national security connect with those of the United States.
