If you hold a carry license in Contra Costa County, your pistol just got a lot more useful. The Sheriff’s Office has agreed to scrap the rules that stopped license holders from carrying handguns set up with red dot sights or weapon-mounted lights, along with its outright ban on single-action 1911- and 2011-style pistols.
