Everytown for Gun Safety announced a $3 million digital advertising effort aimed at gubernatorial contests in multiple battleground states, working with the Democratic Governors Association. An October FEC filing for its Super PAC newly listed a $22 million gift from founder Michael Bloomberg, making 2026 its strongest midterm fundraising period. The group had already committed $9 million toward state legislative digital ads in Arizona, Michigan, Minnesota, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin plus $10 million for congressional races. Only about $4.1 million of planned 2026 outlays appeared in filings by Tuesday, all for House contests, while Giffords PAC had reported $7.1 million of a $10 million pledge. The National Rifle Association reported $495,380 in independent ads supporting Ken Paxton's Senate campaign, its sole such expenditure listed as of Tuesday.
