Nebraska residents apply Nov. 2-Dec. 4, 2026 for 2027 general and landowner mountain lion permits, one yearly with a one-animal either-sex bag in Pine Ridge, Niobrara and Wildcat Hills. Season 1 Jan. 2-Feb. 28 ends at harvest limits of three lions (one female) Pine Ridge, ten (five females) Niobrara or one Wildcat Hills, allowing 30 general plus 20 landowner permits per lion in those caps; landowners apply in person at Alliance or Bassett. A March dog season may follow in Niobrara if unmet, extra applications void all, and a nonrefundable fee applies.
