Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks will hold open drop-in sessions at its Kalispell office on Tuesdays in September, which the agency has named Bear Aware Month.
Visitors may arrive at any point while the sessions run to hear wildlife safety advice and request a try with practice spray. Technician Anna Martin will cover responses to encounters and steps that keep animals off private land. The animals live throughout the state, and extra resources sit at fwp.mt.gov/bear-aware.
