AC Unity of Goražde presented its first 5.56 rifle at the Balkan Shield exhibition in Sarajevo. The private firm, started in 2015, already sells polymer magazines for several rifle and submachine gun platforms and earlier introduced a 9×19 pistol-caliber carbine built on an AR pattern with a polymer receiver.

Erwin Bekto, the technical director, said two variants are planned: one using a conventional mil-spec aluminum receiver and another with a light polymer receiver intended for civilian buyers in the United States. Every component is manufactured in Bosnia, and the rifle has already been tested in the Middle East. During the Yugoslav period Bosnia produced no small arms; those were made at Zastava in Kragujevac, Serbia.
