On 26 August 2026 in San Diego, General Atomics Aeronautical Systems and Fujitsu Limited announced they had entered an accord on unmanned aircraft system upkeep and operations in Japan.

The accord seeks to build maintenance and operational support for the MQ-9B and thereby assist Japan’s security objectives.
