The U.S. Army took delivery of a Lynx XM30 combat vehicle prototype from American Rheinmetall of Auburn Hills, Michigan. It is the first of eight prototypes the company is providing. Government-run developmental and performance testing of that vehicle has begun. The prototypes belong to a contest to replace the M2 Bradley Fighting Vehicle.
