American Military University and American Public University started a new artificial intelligence certificate, two finance programs, and six first-responder microcredentials on October 12, 2026. The universities, based in Charles Town, West Virginia, belong to American Public University System.

They labeled the first-responder microcredentials NanoCerts. The move aims to give students skills that support leadership and professional expansion.
