A compact linear compensator called Rook Micro v1 is now available as both a 3D-printable and desktop-machinable part sized at 25 millimeters. It is intended for 9mm pistols and pistol-caliber carbines and carries a CC-BY-SA-NC license.

Prints are to be made standing upright in reinforced nylon at 0.08 millimeter layers, fully dense with eight walls, to produce usable threads. Machining uses three DXF files for the base, castle, and tube on a 25 by 50 by 100 millimeter block of 6061-T aluminum or stronger, together with a 1/2-28 tap set and four specified mills. After the pockets, contours, and optional chamfer are cut, the bore is threaded by hand in a vise to 1/2-28.
