A maker split a digital model into two sections so it would print more easily. They added a handmade block to brace a slender protruding area during fabrication. Software-generated supports were applied on top of that step.
Five bolts measuring 3 millimeters in diameter and 25 millimeters long join the finished halves. Heat-set inserts were placed to receive those fasteners, though ordinary M3 hardware also matches the openings.
