A 6-inch MFMD kept at home is threaded to accept an FTN adapter. Printing proceeds with the threaded end facing downward and with supports under the base plus along the side overhangs. Afterward a drill or screwdriver is passed through the bore to remove leftover filament from stringing or overhangs. The finished item is described as very quiet.
