Spain's national police force selected the Echelon 4.0FC as its issued duty pistol in a 6,000-gun contract after the Springfield Armory model beat other makers in demanding evaluations. Developed in 2023 with HS Produkt of Croatia, it met shooting, accuracy, obstruction, extreme-temperature durability, drop, and interchangeability requirements, while modular conversion including compact setups impressed Cuerpo Nacional de Policía officials. St. Louis County adopted it in December 2024 for about 1,000 officers at $2.1 million, joined by Henderson Nevada and Lake Ozark Missouri agencies, and it holds gold in the National Tactical Officers Association program.
